Past Perfect Tense

Simple Sentence :-

Subject + had + verb ( 3rd form of verb ) + Object.

Examples:-

• He had gone to Australia.
• We had finished our meal.
• They had completed their assignments.
• She had finished her school project.

Negative Sentences:-

Subject + Had not + Verb (3rd form of verb) + Object

Examples :-

• I had not paid my payment on time.
• She had not written a letter.
• They had not played yet.

Interrogative Sentences:-

Had+Subject +verb(3rd form of verb) + object ?
Questioning word +  had + Subject + not + not +verb(3rd form of verb) + object ?

Examples :-

• Had you stolen a money ?
• why had he not attended the conference ?

Identification of Past Perfect Tense 

Already; Before, would that , As if , IF only, As though.

Examples:-

• I had already taken tea.
• Would that she had come!
• If only he had come here!
